With great enthusiasm, we are working on our first project in Morocco. Wolkat is set to fully sustain and upgrade its existing production facility, Momy Confort, located in the industrial zone of Tanger, Morocco. The machinery will be renewed and expanded, requiring several adjustments to the building. Meanwhile, production must continue without interruption. This presents a significant challenge for Volantess! We are advising Wolkat and overseeing the implementation of structural and installation modifications, the solar roof, and the power storage battery.

Circular Business Model
International textile innovator Wolkat has been active in Tanger for over twenty years. Positioned in the northern part of the country, close to Europe and near a major port, it is where textiles are sorted, cleaned, spun into new yarns, and delivered as new products. Through its circular business model, Wolkat contributes not only to a sustainable world but also prioritizes sustainability in its offices and factories. This commitment extends to Tanger.

Rapid Implementation of a New & Sustainable Roof
The existing uninsulated roof will be removed, and the current structure will be reinforced. A Roof/Wall sandwich panel will be installed, allowing for easy placement of solar panels. This rapid method is essential to acquire a new roof, as production beneath it must continue. The roof will be entirely covered with solar panels, and a battery for power storage will be integrated. Enhanced insulation will also be introduced, incorporating cooling, and additional daylight will be introduced to create a more pleasant working environment.

Exciting & Challenging Endeavor
In this project, we collaborate effectively with Wolkat and several local supporting parties in Tanger. Language and cultural differences can pose challenges, yet these aspects make the project even more exciting and rewarding for us.
